If you have a question not covered in this tab, please give a call or an email!

Q. How do I choose an age category?

a. If you fall somewhere in between two age groups and are unsure which once you should register for, take a look at what each one offers and choose the one you like more!

Q. Do I have to use Beanstack?

a. Nope! We’ve gone back to the traditional paper log format, but you may still use Beanstack if you like it.

Q. What prizes can I win from the prize wheel?

a. The prize wheel, for ages 11 and up, has three categories. The most common is the moon with 7 total spaces. In this category, you can choose any booksale item or free pin made in our Makerspace. The second category is star with 5 total spaces. The star category can win you gift certificates, candy, or treasures made by our Makerspace. The final category is the Milky Way Galaxy and landing on this space will win you first pick of something from the “top shelf” of prizes, which includes items like adult coloring books, school/office supplies, or gift baskets.

Q. Can I save up my reading logs and turn them in all at once?

a. For Little Ones and Kids, yes! For ages 11+, you may only enter 2 reading logs per day except for the last week of July, when you may turn in all your unredeemed reading logs. However, you will get chances at rarer prizes if you turn them in as soon as you can.

Q. Why does the library give away prizes for summer reading?

a. We know it’s not always easy to have the motivation to pick up a book, especially during the summer months when students are out of school. But we also know how important it is for people of all ages to read! Not only are the prizes an exciting reading incentive, but they also provide equal-opportunity enrichment. Library books are free, and so are the prizes and programs! Any members of the community can win the prizes, which include a mixture of practical items, fun items, and local experiences.
